5 Ways To Curb Hunger in 2021

Take Control in 2021!

Hey Ice Fam! It’s that most wonderful time of the year where resolutions are made and weight loss ads are everywhere you turn. “Lose 5 pounds in 5 seconds” or “Drink this and become that” promises are ad nauseum.
But here’s the truth, losing weight and being healthy is hard work. There isn’t a quick fix or a magic pill, you just have to be honest with yourself and know that with hard work and determination results will come. You can take a look at my own transformation story here. So, whether you are just looking to lose a few pounds or are needing a complete lifestyle change, I do have a few tips and
tricks that can help make the process work for you.

1.) Drink More Water

Drinking more water is going to make you feel full and stop you from eating as much and as frequently. One of my go to weight loss hacks was to drink sparkling water at nighttime to fill my stomach up and stop me from chowing down.

2.) Eat more vegetables

Vegetables are filling and are very low in calories. Feel free to fill up on some green beans or broccoli with every meal.

3.) Go for a run or workout when you are hungry

This is the best way to get your mind off of food and burn a bunch of calories! The next time you want to eat but know you shouldn't, throw on some shoes and hit the gym or go for a run.

4.) Stay busy

You eat more when you are bored. Every year during the holidays when I am extremely busy, I end up losing a bunch of weight. I am so consumed with work that I forget about eating (the exact opposite than when I am sitting on the couch bored)

5.) Intermittent fasting

This is something I tried, and it definitely helped control my hunger. The first 2 days were brutal, but after that I could control when I wanted to eat. I would start eating at noon and stop eating at 8pm. After a couple of days, it just became part of my everyday life. I actually ended up stopping because I was losing too much weight.

Just remember, there are going to be good days and bad but it’s the entire journey that you’ll remember and it makes it feel that much better when you reach your goals!

All the best in 2021,
